Welcome to the
XI LATIN-AMERICAN PLANT PHYSIOLOGY CONGRESS
XXIV
MEETING OF THE ARGENTINE PLANT PHYSIOLOGY SOCIETY
I PLANT PHYSIOLOGY CONGRESS of URUGUAY
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
It is with great pleasure that we invite you, on behalf of the Organizing Committee, to participate in the XI LATIN-AMERICAN MEETING OF PLANT PHYSIOLOGY, XXIV ARGENTINIAN MEETING OF PLANT PHYSIOLOGY and I URUGUAYAN CONGRESS OF PLAN PHYSIOLOGY. It will be held in Punta del Este, the most beautiful and renown international resort of Uruguay.
It has been 12 years since the last joint Latin American meeting, and the development of Plant Biology since then has been overwhelming. This meeting will provide a unique opportunity for scientists in the area to meet, analyze and exchange views on the future of this field, to plan for joint efforts and enterprises, to share personal experiences and contribute to a regional and global perspective of our local endeavors.
Topics include Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Cell Biology and Signal Transduction, Development and Hormonal Action, Environmental Stress and Adaptation, Interaction among Plants and other Organisms, Physiology of Whole Plant and Communities and Teaching of Plant Physiology. Nine guest speakers have accepted our invitation for plenary lecturers, and young scientists engaged in outstanding research will have a prominent role in the conference.
The meeting is being held in Uruguay to support the development of plant science in our country, where the discipline is only emerging. I hope you will join us in making this a memorable and scientifically fulfilling event,
We shall be looking forward to meeting you in Punta del Este!
